Paying council tax or business rates via direct debit is quick and easy. Basildon Council will take payments automatically, so you know your bills are paid on time.
There are a number of payment dates to choose from, including once or twice a year. You can also choose to pay monthly on one of the following dates:
Before you set up a Direct Debit, you will need:
- Bank or Building Society account number, sort code and branch address
- Council Tax/Business Rates reference number
If you are not the account holder or authorisation is required by more than one person please print off a Direct Debit Application (Council Tax Form / Business Rates Form) and return the completed form via post.
Please note we need at least 10 working days between receiving your direct debit instructions and the next applicable payment date.
