I Love Basildon was the campaign and I've fond memories of the Evening Echo producing a carnival float that summer to help spread the message. You walked the route that summer to make sure the message was heard. You believed Basildon was a town we should love and be proud of and for most of the residents it still is. Happy memories of carnival day!
