My family didn't know Sir David Amess personally, but we do know that he was a wonderful Christian man, who did so much for other people.
It was such a shock when we heard the terrible news on Friday the 15th of October, that Sir David Amess had been stabbed to death.
We all feel so deeply sorry to Sir Davids family and can't possibly imagine what they are going through, we just hope that they may get some satisfaction, knowing that Southend -on-Sea will become a city, all down to him and that so many wonderful ideas are being discussed, as to how we can commemorate this Amazing man, that was our very own Sir David Amess.
We hope that the evil murderer gets the sentence he deserves on his day in court.
