A stalwart for his Party and a true believer in change. As an ex-Basildon resident, I am proud to say that I voted for him. He was one of a kind and a real warrior for his constituency. He connected and truly cared about the people he came into contact with.
Sir David, I’ll bet that grin has spread wider, knowing that your campaign for Southend West earning her City status has now been realised. May you rest easy and peacefully and never be forgotten.
