A tragic loss of life for a hardworking popular people person MP for Southend West.
I remember David when elected to serve Basildon previously, and although we never met, I gather he was popular with his constituents even then.
Thoughts and prayers to his wife and family, and his colleagues in the House of Commons. Rest in Peace Sir David.
